Title: Storage Engineer

Position: Contract
Rate: $50/hr
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 11 months with the possibility of renewable

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill a position as a Storage Engineer.
Interview Mode: Normally Phone first then possibly a Face to Face

The job description is listed below:


Expert-level knowledge/experience with installation, administration, tuning, performance and maintenance of enterprise platform storage infrastructure and systems including two or more of the following technologies: IBM SAN Volume Controllers, IBM DS series disk systems, IBM V7000 disk systems, Netapp disk systems, EMC Data Domain disk systems. Expert-level knowledge of SAN fabric components such as switches (edge/directors), FC, FCOE, as well as SAN replication.

Minimum Requirements:
8 years Installation/administration of enterprise storage
5 years Installation/administration of IBM DS series storage
5 years Installation/administration of IBM SAN Volume Controllers/Clusters
5 years Installation/administration of SAN Fabrics (Cisco/Brocade edge switches/directors)
Certification or Equivalent:
·         IBM Certified Specialist - Enterprise Storage Technical Support V3
·         IBM Certified Specialist - System Storage DS8000 Technical Solutions V3
·         or clearly demonstrable equivalent experience/knowledge

Preferences:
5 years Installation/administration of IBM V7000 storage
5 years Installation/administration of Netapp storage
