SAP Netweaver Java Webdynpro ESS/MSS


Title: SAP Netweaver Java Webdynpro ESS/MSS

Position: Contract
Rate: 65-70$/hr
Location:  Beaverton, Oregon
Duration: 1 year



Primarily responsible for developing SAP Netweaver Java Portal applications to enable business needs. Accountable to plan, configure, test, rollout, and support a large-scale SAP Netweaver Portal 7.31 solution. Leads developing systems requirements, designing, configuring and prototyping, testing, clarifying, documenting, optimizing, and automating business processes; specifically in the areas of interfaces, portal, workflow, universal work list, and forms. Must have general working knowledge of: Org Management, Personnel Administration, and Benefits, Comp, Payroll, ESS/MSS. 

Essential duties and Responsibilities 
. Creates/oversees completion of technical specifications and identifies gaps between business requirements and standard SAP Portal application capabilities and negotiates resolution. 
. SAP technical expert in Netweaver portal development 
. SAP technical expert to manage/configure SAP workflow, universal work list, and forms in multiple countries and languages. 
. SAP technical expert in SAP Java HR with experience in supporting benefit vendor interfaces 
. Experience with Java webdynpro 
. Experience with MSS workflows, ESS&MSS SAP user exits. 
. Experience in developing or changing SAP application 
. Experience implementing SAP notes, Support Packs, and Enhancement Packs 
. Functional knowledge and experience on HCM Process and Forms, ESS, MSS, HR-PA, Time Management, Payroll, and Talent Management modules 
. Develops testing approach/strategy to test requirements and supports UAT efforts through application readiness, preparation of test environments, creation of data and user profiles. 
. Works directly with SAP HCM Functional systems analyst to ensure application alignment. 
. Works directly with SAP HCM Functional systems analyst to document the technical requirements as well as develop and recommend solutions and identify any potential process changes affected. 
. Configures technical design for new projects and enhancements to existing projects within SAP Portal module specifically within workflow and forms. 
. Provide production support for SAP HCM by utilizing troubleshooting skills with deep understanding of SAP Java processes and generated errors. 
. Deploys software changes, regulatory updates, change requests with appropriate test and back out plans for highly complex changes. 
. Respond to issues as they arise, learn to use tools and processes to manage support tickets, navigate SAP system, perform analysis and research complex problems that might include things with the environment that require escalating. 
. Flexibility to take on-call
Desired Skills and Experience
Mandatory Qualifications: 
BA/BS Degree in IT, MIS or business related functional disciple. Deep SAP Portal experience required. Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience managing business processes with retail systems and processes. Minimum 5 years hands on SAP Portal experience in portal, workflow, forms , Print forms and Universal Work lists and at least one cycle doing an ERP upgrade. Experienced with complex HR rules and processes. 
. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
. Deep SAP technical expert knowledge in Portal, Java Web Dynpro, HCM forms and processes with deep experience in SAP Enhancement framework(User Exits) RFC, Object Oriented Programming, Print forms(SAP Scripts/Smartforms/Adobe forms), ALV reporting and Performance fine tuning. 
. A general knowledge of payroll processes, rules, and laws for US/Canadian payroll including experience and knowledge of configuration with the payroll schema, BSI Tax factory, gross-net payroll, taxes, garnishments and forms and how they affect SAP Portal. 

. A general knowledge of PA/OM/Benefits, Comp, Payroll, Talent Management ESS/MSS and how they interact with workflow/print forms. 
. Self-motivated and discipline to meet deadlines with speed, accuracy and professional attitude. 
. Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills. 
. Work well with and through others within and outside IT. 
. Strong functional business process expertise in Human Resources software and processes. 
. Ability to lead project teams consisting of internal staff, partners, and contractors. 
. Ability to address short term tactical requirements without losing site of the longer range strategic direction. 
. Ability to resolve conflict in a constructive manner and work around obstacles to ensure project success.

. SPHR 
. HP/Mercury Quality Center 
. . Experience leading and working in an international environment. 
. Experience using an ERP vendor's project methodology/roadmap
